Our Pastors

Senior Pastor
Dan Reimer

Our Senior Pastor, Dan Reimer, and his wife, Sue, grew up in central Wisconsin, which means our Nebraska winters seem almost tropical to them.  Though Dan attended a Lutheran church with his family while he was growing up, Dan and Sue didn't commit their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior until Dan was 30 years old and Sue was significantly younger, which she still is.  Dan has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin, and was minding his own business as a Systems Analyst when God dragged him kicking and screaming into the ministry.  After receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, Dan was the Youth Pastor for four years at a church in Quincy, Illinois, and then came to Bethel Church in 1998, where he served as Youth Pastor for two years before being called to his current position in 2000.

Sue is in charge of the video ministry at Bethel and also does the audio editing for our sermons on My Bridge Radio.  Dan is committed to preaching and explaining God's Word in a manner that is easily understood and applied to our lives.  They are both committed to prayer; to doing whatever they can to help advance Christ's kingdom, and to serving Him however He desires.

In their free time, they enjoy motorcycling and amateur radio.

Associate Pastor of Worship Ministries
Nathan Brand

Nathan Brand grew up in Oakland California but now he sojourns in the land of his forefathers. Both of Nathan's parents are from Nebraska and Nathan spent many a family vacation visiting family in the North Platte/ Thedford area as well as Columbus. (And yes Nathan grew up rooting for the Huskers). Nathan loves live music, movies that other people think are too long, live theater, Oakland A's Baseball, sports (especially volleyball), good chips and salsa, German chocolate cake and broccoli salad. Nathan thinks Coke is better than Pepsi, tea is better than coffee and good friends are better than great riches. Nathan has been blessed to be married to the beautiful Carrie of Canada and they have 3 wonderful little girls. His favorite verse is Psalm 16:2 as found the New International Version of the Bible.

Associate Pastor of
Youth Ministries
Darwin Keeney

I was raised on the Great western plains of South Dakota, Murdo to be exact.  How I happened exactly is still up for discussion, some think that I could have  evolved taking this from my first name and all.  Second, it could have been a pack of rangy coyotes since SD is the coyote state.  Personally the one that I have been sticking with is that I was born and raised by a wonderful Christian family.  I accepted Jesus into my heart at the age of seven and was impacted by various Pastors, Youth Leaders, and Camps during those important teen years.  I attended Grace University of Omaha, NE and living up to the colleges reputation found an awesome wife by the name of Teresa.  We moved to Waterloo, IA where we began to assist in the youth ministry.  To us were born Landon, Elyse, and Mitchell.  Little did I know that after 8 years, I would graduate from Upper Iowa University and for the next 4 years become the Youth Pastor.  We moved to Wayne, NE in 2001 to start up a youth ministry and in August of 2005 moved here to North Platte where I am currently the Youth Pastor of Bethel Church.

I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting, and fishing, reading and hanging out with the youth and drinking lattes (Darwin's Delight) or Mountain Dew (the official drinks of all youth pastors).  It depends on the time of year it is as to where you are likely to catch up with me.  It could be in my office, on a body of water with my kayak, a goose or duck blind, crawling around in cardboard, various points of this great country driving the bus or at any of the various eating or coffee shops hanging with teenagers.
